HM the King, HRH Prince of Wales attend horse show

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, and his spouse, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall, at the Al-Safriya Palace today.

 

HM the King exchanged cordial talks with HRH Prince Charles on the outstanding solid deep-rooted Bahrain-UK relations, which are based on mutual respect and joint coordination in various fields.

 

HM King Hamad lauded the visit of HRH the Prince of Wales to Bahrain, and affirmed that it reflects the advanced level and distinction of the ever-progressing relations between the two friendly kingdoms, highlighting the role played by HRH Prince Charles in strengthening bilateral ties for the best interests of the two countries and their peoples.

 

HM the King, HRH Prince Charles and HRH the Duchess of Cornwall attended a show of authentic Bahraini and Arabian horses known for distinctive characteristics and quality. HRH the Prince of Wales and his spouse were briefed on the characteristics of these horses, and the efforts being exerted to take care of them and preserve their breed.

 

HM King Hamad and HRH the Prince of Wales exchanged talks about horse races in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, stressing the importance of promoting such an authentic sport locally and across the world.

 

HM the King affirmed Bahrain’s keenness on participating in various races held in friendly UK, in general, and in the Royal Windsor Horse Show, in particular, being among the most important in the world.

 

HRH Prince Charles expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the auspicious welcome and hospitality accorded to him and his spouse while in Bahrain, which, he said, reflects the authenticity of the Kingdom and the hospitality of its people, voicing admiration for the show of genuine Bahraini horses known for their beauty and high quality.

 

HM King Hamad then bade farewell to HRH the Prince of Wales and his spouse, HRH the Duchess of Cornwall.

 

HM the King thanked HRH Prince Charles for his visit to the kingdom, and hailed the visit’s positive outcomes and role in developing the long-standing friendship and cooperation relations between the two kingdoms in various fields.
