Interior Minister Salamah Hammad on Wednesday met with Head of the Polish National Security Bureau Pawel Soloch and the accompanying delegation.
Talks during the meeting dealt with scopes of bilateral cooperation in the security, political and economic affairs, the latest developments in the region and the impact of the Syrian crisis at the regional and international levels.
Hammad said that Jordan has been affected by the Syrian crisis due to hosting thousands of Syrian refugees, who are placing an increasing pressure on the Kingdom's vital sectors.
He also reviewed services provided by Jordan to the refugees, noting that the Kingdom, under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, works to provide basic services in the educational, health and security fields to the refugees to enable them to overcome the impact of the crisis in their country.
"Since the start of the crisis in Syrian, Jordan has called for a comprehensive political solution that ends bloodshed and preserve's the unity of Syria," the minister added.
During the meeting, which also dealt with efforts to combat terrorism, the minister stressed the need for concerted international efforts to fight this phenomenon that threaten global peace and security.
The Polish official voiced appreciation of Jordan's balanced role in dealing with regional issues as well as its efforts to address the refugees' issue.
