Jordanian King Abdullah II on Sunday received Omani Foreign Minister Youssef Bin Alawi, who conveyed to him greetings of Sultan Qaboos Bin Saeed of Oman.
During the meeting, held at Basman Palace, the king and the Omani minister highlighted strong brotherly ties between the two countries as well as their keenness to activate bilateral cooperation agreements, mainly in the economic, investment, military and security fields.
They also stressed the importance of holding meetings of the Joint Jordanian-Omani Committee.
Talks also dealt with the latest regional developments, particularly in Yemen, Syria and Iraq and means of addressing them.
The king voiced appreciation for efforts led by the sultan of Oman to defuse regional crises.
