Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah has met Slovak Minister of Foreign Affairs Mirsolav Lajcak who was elected as the 72nd President of the UN General Assembly.
Shaikh Sabah Al Khaled wished Lajcak success in his new mission and reaffirmed Kuwait's commitment to working with the UN General Assembly to fulfil the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The new UNGA president said he appreciated Kuwait's contributions to the UN agencies and its outstanding regional and international roles.
The meeting was held on the side-line of the UN General Assembly session that will elect non-permanent members in the Security Council (2018-2019).
