Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet in Moscow on Monday with a number of Syrian opposition leaders.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in statements on Thursday the meeting will be held with the leader of Popular Front for Change and Liberation Qadri Jamil and other opposition leaders.

The meeting is part of efforts to resume the political process to put and end to violence.
