Head of Suez Canal Authority and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's envoy Mohab Mamish met with Panama's President Juan Carlos Varela during his participation in a ceremony marking the expansion of Panama Canal, Egypt's Ambassador in Panama Hisham Marzouk said.

Mamish conveyed Sisi's greetings and congratulations on the opening of the expansions, as well as his wishing for more prosperity and progress for Panama's people.

Egypt's participation in the opening ceremony of the expansion sends a message to the world at large that the two canals, Suez and Panama, are linked by cooperation and integration in the first place with a view to serving international trade and economic development for both countries.
