The Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, and his accompanying delegation, on Wednesday at Al Majlis, Madinat Jumeirah.
H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, attended the meeting. Sheikh Mohammed and Kagame reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in all avenues between the two countries, especially in the investment, trade, economic and infrastructure fields.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed said that the UAE pays extra attention to enhancing ties with African countries and supports them to build their infrastructure and establish joint investment projects, especially in the agriculture, energy, infrastructure and tourism sectors, which contribute to achieving the national interests of the two sides.
The Rwandan President expressed his country's desire to benefit from the UAE's successful experience in all sectors, especially the financial, technical and infrastructure domains. He added that the UAE has excelled in these fields, especially Dubai, which has impressed the whole world with its cultural achievements, particularly in the roads, bridges, tunnels, transport and smart technology domains.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Mohammed Ibrahim AI Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness the Ruler's Court, Government of Dubai, and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai, attended the meeting.
