Annual Investment Meeting's exhibition

Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, today visited the exhibition being staged on the sidelines of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM 2016) at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The investment exhibition incorporates intellectual features, foreign direct overviews, and even includes a comprehensive set of guidelines that will help countries to achieve further growth in the industry.

Sheikh Mohammed, accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, learnt about investment potentials and opportunities and their economic feasibility.

Forty countries and more than 150 investors are participating in the exhibition which features different industry projects and services catering to investment growth of various participating developing regions.

HH said hosting of such annual international gatherings in the UAE provides more opportunities for growth to the UAE’s national economy and building of investment partnerships between countries in the Middle East, East Asia and Africa and investors.

Sheikh Mohamed expressed satisfaction at the high level of confidence enjoyed by the UAE economy on international platforms, particularly from the side of governments and private sector companies interested in economic development, human resources development and sustainable development for building a fruitful joint co-operation in areas of trade, cultural and scientific exchange and other avenues of collaboration that benefit the Emiratis and peoples and governments of other countries.

Opened this morning by Sheikh Mohammed, the Annual Investment Meeting is a world-leading emerging markets FDI platform. This event is one of the most celebrated conferences and exhibitions in the world that connects the top Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) investors, experts, and practitioners in the world. The focus is on how the landscape has changed over the course of the year and what new forms of Investment are available.

The theme for the sixth edition of the Annual Investment Meeting is "The New World of FDI, Key Features and Best Practices". It will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 11th to 13th April, 2016.
