Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese and bishops of the Holy Synod made an inspection naval tour in the New Suez Canal project on Thursday.

The pontiff was accompanied by Suez Canal Authority Chairman Mohab Mamish who offered a detailed explanation about the project and preparations for the canal's inauguration ceremony slated for August 6.
