Pakistan's Prime Minister receives UAE Ambassador

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has received Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Alzaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral ties between the two countries and the importance of developing them across various fields.

The ambassador said that expanding UAE-Pakistan relations is of importance, as their foundations are derived from strong and friendly ties between the peoples of the two countries.

Alzaabi highlighted the UAE's various projects in Pakistan, adding that these development initiatives are part of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's legacy to promote positive ties with Pakistan and provide assistance to individuals in need. He also emphasised the importance of UAE projects on health and education.

The ambassador highlighted the UAE is one of the largest investors in Pakistan in the telecommunications, real estate, aviation, banks and energy sectors. He went on to speak of Pakistan's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, and the myriad number of opportunities available to the country during the event.

Prime Minister Abbasi hailed the great development witnessed by the UAE in all sectors and expressed his happiness about the Pakistani community residing in the UAE, saying this is the largest overseas Pakistani community living in peace and contributing to the development of the UAE.

He reaffirmed Pakistan's keenness to participate in Expo 2020 Dubai actively.
