Paris - Arab Today
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held a session of talks with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris, France.
Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) said that President Abbas had briefed the French leader on latest developments and contacts to protect Al-Quds, in the aftermath of the decision of US President Donald Trump to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Abbas thanked France on its stances in support of Palestine, including its recent vote yesterday at the United Nations General Assembly rejecting any change on the legal status of Al-Quds.
President Macron also reiterated his country’s stances in support of a peace settlement of the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two-state solution.
