Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met in Amman today with UN Secretary General Ban Ki moon. 
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories as well as the Palestinian effort in the UN Security Council to adopt a UN resolution to halt settlement activity. 
The UN Secretary General stressed the need to preserve the two-state solution and support by international community to the political process.
