Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah posted UK Consul-General in Jerusalem Alastair McPhail on the latest political developments and Israeli violations against the Palestinian people and property.

Major countries, namely the UK, have to support the French initiative on holding an international peace conference under international legitimacy and United Nations resolutions on the Palestinian cause, Hamdallah said.

Israeli settlements are one of the main challenges facing the two-state solution and a comprehensive peace deal that guarantees the Palestinians' right to self-determination and establishing an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, the prime minister said.
