Prime Minister Sherif Ismail met on Thursday with visiting Vice President of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Obiang, Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qawish said.
Immigration Minister Nabila Makram also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Ismail asserted Egypt’s keenness to boost relations with Equatorial Guinea in all fields including construction, manufacturing of medicine and petrochemicals, vocational training and tourism.
He reviewed investment opportunities in Egypt especially in power sector.
He pointed out at the government’s economic reform program that aims to raise the growth rate to reach 6 percent in accordance with applying a social solidarity system that protects the low-income people.
The premier also said he is looking forward to guarantee Equatorial Guinea’s support to the Egyptian nominee for the post of Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Moshira Khattab.
Meanwhile, Obiang asserted his country’s keenness on attracting more Egyptian companies to work in Equatorial Guinea in various industrial sectors.
