Head of the Coptic Orthodox Church Pope Tawadros II met on Sunday with head of the Assyrian Democratic Movement and member of the Iraqi parliament Yonadam Kanna.

In a statement, the church said the Iraqi legislator updated the pontiff on the conditions of Christians in Iraq.

The bloc comprises Christian members of the parliament.
