For his part, Secretary General Al-Othaimeen emphasized on the importance of installing interim authorities in Mali. He also stressed that the OIC, which contributed in an effective way to the return of peace in Mali since 2013, will continue its work as a guarantor of the Agreement for Peace and Reconciliation in Mali, in addition to being actively engaged in the work of the peace agreement monitoring committee and the work of the OIC Ministerial Contact Group on Mali.
