H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received on Friday at his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed city, Guillaume Barazzone, Mayor of Geneva and his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting the country.

Maya Tissafi, the Swiss Ambassador to the UAE was present.

During the meeting, Sheikh Saud welcomed the Mayor of Geneva and his accompanying delegation. The two parties discussed the existing relations between the UAE and Switzerland and ways to strengthen them in a number of areas, including economic, trade, investment and tourism, among others.

The RAK Ruler expressed the keenness of the UAE to revamp cooperation and friendship with all countries in order to achieve the common interests of its people and the peoples of the sisterly and friendly countries.

The Mayor of Geneva commended the urban development being witnessed by the UAE in all fields, referring to the UAE's global status as well.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Head of the Customs Department, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority, and Munther Mohammed bin Shekar, Director-General of the RAK Municipality Department.
