First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Athletics Association, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has lauded the Bahraini-Russian relations which, he said.
He stressed that bilateral ties, which are progressing steadily at all levels, contributed to consolidating and launching new partnerships and cooperation frameworks, which will benefit the two countries.
HH Shaikh Khalid was speaking while receiving the outgoing Russian Ambassador to Bahrain, Vagif Garayev.
HH Shaikh Khalid affirmed that the Bahraini-Russian relations have grown remarkably since His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to Russia in February 2018, noting that the royal visit contributed to opening up new horizons and pushing bilateral cooperation forward.
Shaikh Khalid commended the efforts exerted by the envoy throughout his tenure to boost relations between Bahrain and friendly Russia, which, he said, has reflected positively on enhancing bilateral ties, especially in the sports field.
The Russian ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Khalid, praising his role in enhancing the Bahraini-Russian relations.
He expressed confidence that bilateral relations will grow further with more fruitful cooperation that meets the expectations of the two countries’ leaderships.
