Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, currently in Washington, had talks on Tuesday with US Senator Dianne Feinstein on means of boosting bilateral ties in various domains, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
The talks tackled also a host of regional issues, Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a press statement.
The two sides also discussed means of promoting cooperation between the US Congress and the Egyptian Parliament.
During the meeting, Shoukry expounded to Feinstein Egypt's vision on combating terror as well as means of settling the Syrian crisis and the Egyptian efforts to back the formation of the Libyan government.
