President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday held talks with heads of state and government on the sidelines of his participation in meetings of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly here.

President Sisi met with Senegalese President Macky Sall and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Alaa Youssef.
At his meeting with the Senegalese president, Sisi confirmed the importance of coordinating efforts for overcoming joint challenges in Africa, added the spokesman.

The president further asserted Egypt's readiness to contribute to the implementation of national development plans in Senegal, added the spokesman.

He also highlighted the importance of enhancing the role of Al Azhar religious institution in Senegal to stand up to extremist ideas, added the spokesman.

The Senegalese president, for his part, lauded the Egyptian role supporting development efforts in Africa at large.

At his meeting with the Dutch premier, president Sisi reviewed investment opportunities in Egypt. He expressed Egypt's wish for more cooperation with the Netherlands, added the spokesman.

The Dutch premier confirmed his country's support for Egypt in its democratic transition efforts.

The premier further added that there are vast opportunities for joint cooperation especially in the agricultural and water domains, according to the spokesman.
