Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held discussions with his Senegalese counterpart Macky Sall in the United Nations (UN) headquarters here.

The meeting, which came at the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, took up means of promoting bilateral ties as well as African and Islamic issues of common interest.

Meanwhile, Sisi carried out an interview with the US BBS News Channel to be broadcast on Monday and met with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
