Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held discussions with the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in the organizations headquarters here.

The meeting took up regional and international issues topped by the conditions in the Middle East, fighting terrorism, enhancing sustainable development and curbing the effects of climate change.

Sisi and some world leaders will participate in a working lunch called for by the UN chief to probe climate change before holding the Climate Change Conference slated for November in Paris.

Egypt will lead the African presidents' committee on climate change.
