Cairo - MENA
President Abdel Fattah el Sisi asserted on Monday that Egypt pays great attention to meeting energy needs whether for households or projects.
Speaking during a meeting with Rosatom chairman Sergey Kiriyenko, Sisi hailed joint projects with Russia.
Kiriyenko delivered greetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Sisi, said presidential Spokesman Alaa Abdel Aatti.
He expressed appreciation for progress achieved in bilateral ties. He asserted his country's readiness to help Egypt meet its energy needs.
Kiriyenko presented a proposed offer to establish a nuclear energy plant to comprise four units under highest nuclear safety standards.
The project will create 20,000 jobs, he noted.
More consultation and coordination will be conducted during the coming period on the bid.
