President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday met with Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali.
During the meeting, Sisi stressed the importance that economic reforms would take into account the social dimensions and the expansion of social protection and safety.
Presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef said that the president asserted the importance of exerting the utmost effort to promote various aspects of social protection provided by the State, particularly for low-income people.
Ghali posted Sisi on the ministry’s plan to enhance the social protection for the low-income and most needy people, the spokesman said.
The ministry’s plan covers legislative reforms, including the laws of social insurance, social security, health insurance and disability, Yousef quoted the minister as saying.
Also in the meeting, Sisi directed Wali to pay more attention to set up a social and human development program for the families who were moved from hazardous slums to new urban communities.
