The Pink Caravan Ride, continues day 6 of it awareness campaign to spread a message of hope regarding breast cancer and the benefits of early detection. Today, the ride kicked off at 10:00 am from Kempinski Hotel in Ajman heading to Al Qasba in Sharjah, where it will arrive at 4:00 pm. Under the slogan "Soldiers of Pink Hope", the ride aims to spread awareness about breast cancer and about the importance of early detection as well as it offers free clinical examinations and screenings all across the UAE Mobile medical clinics are open to the public offering free breast cancer early detection services from 09:00 am to 07:00 pm, in different cities across the UAE. Today, the medical clinics are positioned at the Al Manama and Al Mizhar Health Centres and at Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Ajman, while the mammogram mobile clinic will operate at Umm Al Momineen Association.
The fixed clinic at the Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah is open to the public during the 10 days of the ride, which concludes on March 17th, and offers free breast cancer examinations and information on breast cancer protection methods from 4:00 pm to10:00 pm daily.
Since scientific facts proved that 98% of early detected breast cancer cases are treated successfully and completely cured, Pink Caravan is calling for all UAE community, both women and men across the country to take advantage of the free integrated medical services offered by its medical clinics.
The PCR is a pan-UAE breast cancer awareness initiative of Friends of Cancer patients (FoCP), launched under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and under the directive of Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi.
