Tunisia's President Beji Caid Essebsi met on Monday with China's National Development and Reform Commission Chief Zhang Ping.
The meeting took up planned joint projects in the fields of infrastructure and railways, said a presidential statement.
Essebsi urged more cooperation with China to help his country implement its economic programs.
