Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi met Friday with Jean-Pierre Raffarin, head of the French Senate's foreign affairs committee, currently on a visit to Tunisia.
During the meeting, Essebsi reiterated his keenness on continuing reforms and responding to the ambitions of the Tunisian people, a statement by the Tunisian presidency said.
For his part, Raffarin stressed his country's support for Tunisia in its political and economic path, noting that Essebsi's two-day visit to France on April 7 will be a chance to enhance bilateral ties.
