The School of Humanities and Social Sciences in the American University in Cairo (AUC) will organize a lecture themed "Religious tolerance and cultural diversity in the eastern Mediterranean countries".

The lecture will be given in Prince al Waleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz al Saud Hall in the university's headquarters in New Cairo.

The lecture will tackle the relation between religion and politics from a cultural perspective and the use of culture as a tool to merge the religious and political discourses.

It will focus also on religious tolerance as well as cultural diversity in the Mediterranean Sea region.
