Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa received on Monday an official invitation to visit Kazakhstan bye the end of May to participate in the international "Religions Against Terrorism" conference.
During the visit, the minister is expected to meet with Speaker of Kazakhstan Senate and a number of ministers, officials and religious figures.
Gomaa is also planned to give a number of cultural and scientific lectures.
He will preside over the Egyptian delegation that will attend the meeting of the Board of Trustees of Egypt University of Islamic Culture “Nur – Mubarak” in Kazakhstan.
The Religions Against Terrorism conference will bring together faith leaders, politicians, and academicians to elaborate working recommendations on tackling the harmful ideologies of violent extremism.
