Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir on Tuesday conferred with his visiting South Sudanese counterpart Salva Kiir who arrived here on official visit to Sudan.
The talks covered bilateral relations, regional issues of common interest as well as a set of pending issues on the borders, security and economic files.
The two sides also discussed means of defusing tensions and ongoing conflict in South Sudan.
The two presidents are expected to hold a press conference later in the day to unveil the outcome of the visit and the march of the two countries' relations.
