The Eighth International Forum and Exhibition on Economics Of Mineral Resources in the Arab Countries (‎Ecominex 2017) will kick off in Cairo on April 2. 

The three-day event is organized by the Arab Mining and Petroleum Association.

The forum will focus on economic geology, mine engineering, ore dressing, geophysical exploration, industrial minerals, evaporating salts industry, environment assessment, geographic information system, mining investment in the Arab world, cement industry and building materials, marble, granite and ornamental stones, feasibility studies of mining activities, oil shale and energy ores and gemstones.

The forum's secretary general Hassan Bekhit said the exhibition of mining and quarries companies will highlight investment opportunities in these domains.
