France's Prime Minister Manuel Valls on Monday will start a visit to Australia where he will meet his Australian counterpart Malcolm Turnbull.
The visit comes after the French group DCNS on Tuesday won a military contract valued at 34 billion euros for the construction of 12 Australian oceanic submarines and for maintenance and crew training.
Valls was scheduled to visit Australia in March, but the visit was postponed due to reasons related to election scheduling in Australia.
