Cairo - Arab Today
Yemeni Foreign Minister Riad Yassin and his Tunisian counterpart Taieb Baccouche left here on Tuesday after a visit to Egypt during which they attended the 144 session of the Arab League Foreign Ministers Council.
Delivering a speech at the session, Yassin said the Yemeni army, backed by the Saudi-led coalition forces, and the Popular Resistance Committees' (PRC) members are struggling to purge Yemen from the Houthis and army units loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Yemen has been rocked by months of fighting between the Houthis and loyalists of Yemeni President Abdrabu Mansur Hadi, supported by the Arab coalition, leaving thousands dead and 21 million people in need of urgent aid.
