Cairo - Arab Today
Egypt will open Rafah, its border crossing with Gaza City, on Thursday from one direction only to allow stranded Palestinians return to the enclave.
In a statement, the Palestinian embassy here thanked the Egyptian authorities for their tireless efforts to ease the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The land crossing has been closed since the deadly terrorist attack against Egyptian servicemen in North Sinai on 24 October 2014.
It is only opened exceptionally to allow the crossing of stranded Palestinians, humanitarian cases and relief assistance to the coastal enclave.
