Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will meet on Monday with Chairman of Italian Senate Foreign Affairs Committee Pier Ferdinando Casini, currently visiting Egypt.

The meeting, to be held at one of the major hotels in Cairo, comes as part of continuous coordination between Cairo and Rome.

The two officials will discuss Egyptian-Italian relations and ways to boost them as well as issues of mutual concern.

A number of regional issues, notably the situation in Libya and the illegal immigration, are planned to be discussed during the meeting.

Casini arrived Cairo late on Sunday in an official visit to Egypt.
