French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius will head for Iran on Wednesday to meet with President Hassan Rouhani and his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif.
They will discuss ways of resuming political dialogue between the two countries and other issues of mutual concern, Spokesperson for the French Foreign Ministry Roman Nadal said.
The latest developments in the region as well as the Paris-hosted climate change conference, due to be held later this year, will be probed as well, he added.
Fabius will convene also with a number of Iranian officials, including Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani.
