German Minister of Defence Ursula von der Leyen is scheduled to meet Monday with UK Defense Secretary Michael Fallon in Berlin, the German Defense Ministry said in a statement Saturday.

The statement added that the two ministers would discuss ways to develop and deepen their countries' defense cooperation.

They will also discuss efforts to confront terrorism groups, especially Daesh, the statement said.

The UK and Germany have a longstanding and close defense relationship, working closely together within NATO.
