Sisi's visit to Cyprus and his meeting with the Cypriot president and the Greek prime minister comes as part of the distinguished ties binding the three countries, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef in statements Sunday.

The spokesman further said that Sisi, during his visit to Cyprus, will follow up the outcome of the three-way summit, which was held in Egypt on November 2014 and gave strong impetus to the existing trilateral cooperation.

Following his visit to Cyprus, Sisi will head for Spain in response to an invitation from its King Felipe VI, added the spokesman.

Sisi will hold a session of talks with the Spanish king followed by another meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, he said.

Also, an expanded meeting in the presence of the two countries' delegations will be held to sign a number of bilateral agreements.

The Spanish king will host a banquet in honor of Sisi and in the presence of Rajoy.

Sisi will also meet with 15 heads of the top Spanish companies in the presence of the Spanish economy minister.

Sisi's visit to Spain aims to promote bilateral ties in the various fields, especially in light of Spain's effective participation in the Egypt Economic Development Conference.
