The Republic of South Africa will host the 25th Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) on June 7-15, The AU posted on its website.

The summit will be held under the theme: "Year of Women's Empowerment and Development towards Africa's Agenda 2063."

The 25th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union is scheduled to take place on June 14-15 in Johannesburg.
