US President Donald Trump will arrive in South Korea on November 7 for a two-day visit to hold a summit with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Yonhap quoted the presidential office Cheong Wa Dae as saying Tuesday.

"We earlier sought to invite President Trump on a three-day visit but agreed President Trump and his wife should arrive in the early morning on November 7, considering the difficulties involved in providing adequate diplomatic protocol should he and his wife arrive in South Korea late at night," Cheong Wa Dae spokesman Park Soo-hyun told a press briefing.

Cheong Wa Dae earlier said the Moon-Trump summit will be held on November 7. 

Trump is scheduled to make a three-day visit to Japan before arriving in Seoul. 

After his first visit to Seoul, he will stay in China for three days until November 10, when he is expected to head to Da Nang, Vietnam for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders' meeting, according to the White House.

The Cheong Wa Dae spokesman insisted how long Trump would stay does not matter as much as what he would do while here.
