Channing Tatum is prepared for daughter Everly Tatum to see Magic Mike.
The 35-year-old actor discussed the day his two-year-old daughter will see him in the film in an interview with People. Tatum portrays male stripper Mike Lane in the movie and its sequel, Magic Mike XXL.
"She's gonna see it; there's no way I could shelter her from it," he told the magazine before joking, "I'm setting aside money for college and for therapy."
"But you know, I can't change the fact that I did this in real life," he said of his history as a stripper. "I'm not ashamed of anything I've ever done. I think we teach better through our behavior and by our experiences rather than trying to design some lesson."
Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum met on the set of Step Up in 2006, and married in Malibu in July 2009. The couple welcomed Everly in March 2013, and the actor previously told reporters he won't choose film roles differently just because he is a dad.
Magic Mike XXL opens in theaters July 1, and co-stars Matt Bomer as Ken, Joe Manganiello as Richie and Kevin Nash as Tarzan. Tatum and Jimmy Fallon performed kid-friendly Magic Mike scenes Tuesday on The Tonight Show.
