During this year's ESPY awards, no one was safe from Joel McHale's jokes. The Soup host took aim not only at audience members, but also at Donald Trump and Bill Cosby.
The Cosby joke came near the end of the opening monologue, where McHale praised mixed-martial arts (MMA) champion Ronda Rousey, who had just won the ESPY for Best Fighter, USA Today reports.. "Rousey has knocked out more women than Bill Cosby," he said. "Sorry I meant Dr. Bill Cosby."
While McHale praised Victor Espinoza for being the first Hispanic jockey to win the Triple-Crown, he took a stab at presidential hopeful Donald Trump, saying, "He'll make history again when he's the first person President Donald Trump deports to Mexico."
In addition to hosting the awards, the comedian presented the first award of the night.
