Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson is the youngest star on the top-grossing-actors list, as well as the only female in the top 10, MarketWatch reports.

Harrison Ford takes the top spot with $4.8 billion, while Johansson’s “Avengers” co-star Samuel L. Jackson takes No. 2 with $4.6 billion, followed by Morgan Freeman, Tom Hanks, Robert Downey Jr., Eddie Murphy, Tom Cruise, Michael Caine and Johnny Depp, respectively.
The blond bombshell spoke out about gender wage gap in Cosmopolitan’s May issue, explaining, “I am very fortunate. I make a really good living, and I’m proud to be an actress who’s making as much as many of my male peers at this stage.
“I think every woman has [been underpaid], but unless I’m addressing it as a larger problem, for me to talk about my own personal experience with it feels a little obnoxious. It’s part of a larger conversation about feminism in general.”
Johansson is in good company on the moneymaking list. Cameron Diaz rests at no. 19 with a career gross of about $3 billion.
Other actresses in the top 30 ranking include Helena Bonham Carter at no. 26 with $2.81 billion, Cate Blanchett at no. 29 with $2.8 billion, and Julia Roberts at no. 30 with $2.7 billion.
