Algiers - APS
The concert-show "Fate knocking at the door" designed and directed by Maestro Amine Kouider of the National Symphony Orchestra, mixed Saturday night the powerful poetry of Moufdi Zakaria with the strength of Ravel's Bolero in a composition that has charmed a large audience where numerous youth were standing aside their elders of the liberation war.
The reading of Moufdi Zakaria’s poem "El-Djezair" by actor Hacène Kecheche, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra interpreting Ravel's Bolero followed Bethoven’s Symphony No. 5 which was performed at the opening of the concert show in Moufdi-zakaria Culture Palace on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of Algeria independence.
After lengthily applauding this moving performance, the audience has rediscovered national patriotic songs sung by the polyphonic choir of Algiers and cheered popular songs and dances from different regions of Algeria.
