Lebanese Customs Department managed today to botch a smuggling operation attempt of hundreds of cellphones and gold jewelry via Beirut international airport, the Customs' General Directorate indicated in a statement on Friday. 


The 317 phones were packed inside three luggage cases, while the eight Kgs of gold were found inside a handbag, carried by a Lebanese citizen holding a German passport and coming from Dubai
