CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, chaired the Bahrain delegation at the 20th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Tourism held today at the Arab League Secretariat in Cairo.
The meeting discussed the implementation of an Arab tourism strategy to facilitate tourism among Arab countries and holding a forum on improving services at Arab airports and tourist destinations.
The meeting also reviewed a proposal for activating (Accessible tourism) in the Arab world, cooperation with Latin American countries in the field of tourism, in addition to topics related to upgrading Arab tourism industry.
During the meeting, Bahrain was elected as a member of the council’s executive office, which consist of eight countries for 2018-2019.
