Egypt seeks to up the number of German tourists to 2 million by the end of 2017, Tourism Minister Yehia Rashed said.
Rashed started on Tuesday holding several meetings in Berlin within the framework of promoting tourism to Egypt.
Rashed is accompanied by representatives of hotels, travel agencies and aviation companies.
The minister met with representatives from several aviation companies, including Airberlin and Germania.
The talks tackled the importance of marketing and e-booking.
The minister urged German companies to operate flights to Sharm el Sheikh, especially after Germany lifted the ban last month.
