MP Alaa Abed has invited Russian State Duma Speaker Sergey Naryshkin to pay a visit to the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el Sheikh to get firsthand information about the security situation there.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting of Egyptian and Russian parliamentarians at the House of Representatives Tuesday, Abed said he called for forming a committee of Russian and Egyptian MPs to stress deep relations between the two peoples.

Naryshkin said a parliamentary friendship committee will be formed to make clear points of view of both countries.
