H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has met with a number of Foreign Ministers on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.
Those who met with Sheikh Abdullah included Augusto Santos Silva Portugal's Minister of Foreign Affairs; Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armeni; Roberto Ampuero, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile; Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano; Foreign Minister of Bulgaria, Ekaterina Zaharieva; and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulidis.
They discussed ways to enhance ties in diplomatic, economic, trade, investment, cultural, food security, renewable energy, educational and tourism fields between the UAE and the respective countries. They also exchanged views on a number regional and international issues including topics on the agenda of the UN.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Abdullah and Christodoulidis signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the mutual recognition of driving licenses between the UAE and Cyprus.
Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, UAE's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, attended the meetings.
