International Coalition conducted 36 air raids against the strongholds of ISIS in both Syria and Iraq during the recent 24 hours, including 28 raids in Syria. The raids targeted the areas of Bokamal, Shadady, Raqqa and Deir Al Zour in Syria, while attacked Mousl, Rawa and Singar in Iraq.
Iraq's leader of Federal Police Shaker Gawdat revealed that his troops managed to kill one of prominent ISIS leaders called Abdel Rahman Attiya Al Mokni at Mousl's Aviation district. He added that three extremist military units loyal to ISIS surrendered themselves to the Iraqi forces.
On his hand, military leader Abdel Amir Yar Allah revealed that the Iraqi troops resume their advance in Mamoun district, saying that anti-extremist troops managed to liberate Ghozlani Camp in the framework of the current military operations to liberate Mousl's right bank.
On the political side, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi issued his orders calling his forces for taking into account the humanitarian side during the current operations to liberate the second largest city in Iraq. He expressed his appreciation to the efforts exerted by the Iraqi troops to defeat the extremist militias.
He stressed the need for giving the priority to protecting the lives of Iraqi fighters, urging for protecting the public and private possessions. He stressed that the Iraqi operations are not limited to the liberation of the Iraqi territories from the extremist militias but extends to the other areas from which the extremists pose serious threats. He added that he ordered the Iraqi air forces to target the militants strongholds in Syria in response to the recent terrorist attack that targeted Baghdad.
On its hand, US Pentagon revealed that it provided the Iraqi authorities with information to pave the way for the military raids conducted by the Iraqi fighter jets in the Syrian strongholds of the extremist group.
